The instance editor is another special feature of the TopLogic system. With the help of the instance editor, the characteristics of the object types can be displayed and modified immediately in table form without the need for custom programming.

This is a great advantage for testing, both during data creation and during execution.

The instance editor can be invoked when an object type is selected.

To add instances we click on the plus icon, to edit an instance we click on the pencil icon.

Attention: Here the user should know exactly what he is doing!!! All integrity rules not covered by the model are overridden!

We use the instance editor to create a few products. To do this, we select Product under "My Entity Types" and click on the Instances tab on the right. Then we create three products (TopoLogico, Excelent and Word) and assign a manager, a developer and a tester to each.
