For the described process 4 process roles are needed:

Creator, Manager, Processor and Tester.

Such process roles are represented in the process model as"lanes", each of which bears the designation of the respective process role.

The initial model already has 2 lanes: "Actor 1" and "Actor 2". Therefore, 2 more lanes have to be added and the designations for the process roles have to be adopted.

Add process roles

To do this, edit the process graphic in the process editor (pencil icon in the title bar of the graphic area).

To add the required lanes, select the lower lane and execute the function "add lane below" twice in the context menu:

After all 4 lanes are present, double click the label in the header area and enter the label of the corresponding process role:

Save the changes.

Map process roles to user groups

Now select the first lane and edit its properties in the right pane:

In the Actors group field, assign the user group"User" to this lane. Repeat this step for the remaining 3 lanes.

In the further course, different user groups are created and assigned in the process to distinguish between the person groups "Manager", "Developer" and "Tester".
