#29401
Images in an image drop zone cannot be copied or saved using the browser's context menu
By default, most browsers allow you to right-click on displayed images to copy them directly to the clipboard or save them.
If a binary field in a form is used to display an image, you can use the "Image Drop Field" presentation <binary-display presentation="image-upload"/>. However, if the form displays a TL context menu, right-clicking on the image will no longer bring up the browser’s context menu with the “Save Image” or “Copy Image” options. This eliminates the ability to copy or save an image in order to reuse it, for example, in another “Image Drop Field.”
A way must be provided to access the image. For example:
- No TL context menu on the image displayed in the “Image Drop Field”
- A separate item in the TL context menu for copying/saving images in the “Image Drop Field”
Solution: The displayed image is marked with the existing data-browser-menu attribute (as is the case with bookmark links, for example), so that right-clicking directly on the image brings up the browser context menu (with “Copy Image”/“Save Image”) appears when you right-click directly on the image, while the TL context menu continues to function in the rest of the form area.
