8.0.0-alpha8
TopLogic Release
2026-09-01
TopLogic 8.0.0-alpha8 extends the React UI (TL Views), refines the model-based access rights and makes string handling consistent across databases.
React UI (TL Views)
<switch>element – shows different views depending on a channel value.- State survives reload – selection, scroll position, expansion, form input and pager page survive a browser reload.
- Table improvements – column filters match the attribute type, and users can choose and reorder columns.
- Headless interface – the interface used by the script recorder, replay and agents acting for a user has been completed with an authorization and session model.
Security and access rights
- Follow-ups to model-based access rights – several refinements of the alpha7 feature.
- Secured TL-Script results – objects the user may not read are removed from the result of a TL-Script evaluation.
- User names – are trimmed and looked up case-insensitively.
Configuration and operation
- Case-insensitive string columns – non-binary string columns behave case-insensitively on all supported databases, including PostgreSQL.
- Uniform logo names – application logos have uniform names, and the favicon is set by the theme.
- Engine model descriptions – the engine's model elements carry descriptions shown as tooltips.
- Self-service invitations – can be sent again.
- Login before maintenance – when activating the maintenance mode, logins can be allowed during the transition phase.
- Smaller improvements – default columns in the model editor's instance view, pretty-printed BPML workflow exports, stable order of command groups in role profiles.
Bug fixes
- React forms: size constraints without upper bound, identity-based constraints such as uniqueness.
- Classic UI: dialogs opened while a popup is open, row objects in grid header functions, executability of commands on deleted objects.
- Persistence: length of the layout key column, unnecessary queries when deleting objects.
Migration
- Model-based access rights follow-ups and secured TL-Script results.
- Case-insensitive string columns, user names.
- Application logo names and favicon, engine model descriptions.
- Size constraints in React forms, layout key column length.
Details are given in the migration section of the release notes below.
