The translation process for resources creates a messages_en.properties~ file that should not be checked in. At least the application template does not ignore this file by default.

In the TL repository, this was implemented at repository level. However, this is not a prerequisite for a customer project.

Some Eclipse settings contain local file references and must not be checked in.
