The reason is that there are wrappers without type. The problem does not occur on TL 6. There every wrapper still has a type.

Solution

The class is deleted and replaced by the existing class tl:TypeInstanceListModelBuilder from the same package. This does not have the problem.

Code Migration

Find the class MEInstanceTableModelBuilder. Replace all usages with the class tl:TypeInstanceListModelBuilder. This is in the same package. Replace the name of the Config Property metaElement with meta-elements. See for example: [320926]

Test

Edit something in the view "Role profiles" and save it. No error should appear in the log.
