TopLogic 8.0.0-alpha6 is mainly a stabilization release with improvements for REST interfaces, flow charts and trees, and several access-rights fixes.
New features
- REST status code – the actual HTTP status code of a response from an external API can be passed as an argument to the response handling.
- Flow chart zoom kept – a model change no longer resets the zoom level to the initial zoom.
- Tree state kept – tree tables and trees keep the expansion state of their nodes when refreshed, and a new selection is made visible even without expand-on-selection.
- Scripted clicks – buttons react to programmatically triggered clicks, which enables UI test automation, e.g. with Playwright.
Security and access rights
- Dialog commands – commands configured directly on a dialog appear in the role profiles and can be granted.
- Model-based search – the save command is no longer a system command, so published queries cannot be changed without permission.
Bug fixes
- TL-Script: database optimization with transient objects, HTML literals at the start of a block, macro attributes.
- Flow diagrams: compact tree layout with zig-zag display.
- Integration: empty Kafka messages, generated JSON schema of layout templates.
- Tools: help editor import, migrations, undo command configuration, script recorder.
