Problem
When you record the process of filling out a form or attachment dialog and enter date values using the Date Popup Control, these entries are not recorded. These date values are then missing from the resulting scripts. In the case of required fields, you’ll notice this because the scripts won’t run afterward. Otherwise, it goes unnoticed and the fields remain empty.
Workaround
When recording such scripts, enter the date values manually or via the keyboard. This input is recorded correctly.
Test
- Start recording in tl:ScriptRecorder.
- OpenTechnical Demo > Layout Framework#1 > Forms > Form Controls (inline)
- Enter date values into a date field using the keyboard and via a popup; enter an invalid value (e.g., XXX).
- Expected Result: All input methods should be recorded.
- Enter time values into a time field using the keyboard and via a popup; enter an invalid value (e.g., XXX).
- Expectation: All input variations should be recorded.
- Enter a color value into a color picker field via a pop-up
- Expectation: The input is recorded.
- Enter an icon value into an image selection field via a pop-up
- Expected: The input is recorded.
