Found while reviewing the personal settings dialog (#29540): Selektfelder haben ein doppeltes X.
Cause
TLDropdownSelect renders every selected value as a chip carrying its own remove button (removable = !disabled && (multiSelect || !mandatory)) and, beside the drop-down arrow, a clear-all button (showClearButton = !mandatory && value.length > 0 && !disabled). For a multi-select the two differ: one removes one option, the other removes all. For a non-mandatory single select they do the same thing, so the field shows two X buttons that both empty it.
Fix
A single select shows its value plainly - image and label, the way the read-only display shows it - rather than as a chip. A chip sets one entry off from the next and carries the button removing just that one; a single value has nothing to be set off from, and removing it is what the clear button beside the arrow does. So a single select has one clear affordance, the clear button, and none at all when it is mandatory. The multi-select keeps its chips with their remove buttons beside the clear button, since there the two mean different things.
Verification
Verified in the browser on tl-demo-react: the country field of the settings dialog (non-mandatory single select) shows its value as plain text with one X, clears on it, then takes a new value shown the same way; a mandatory single select shows the value and no X; a multi-valued account reference still shows chips, removes one option by its chip and all by the clear button; Backspace in the search field of a multi-select still removes the last option; no console errors.
