Currently, multi-level lists are no longer recognized in multi-line text fields:

It seems that this used to be possible, at least; it still works in TTS:

Fill a text field, e.g., in DemoTypes:A, with a list. Supported formats are paragraphs (separated by a blank line) and lists prefixed with *` or `- characters at the beginning of the line, depending on the list level.
