You can delete an object that is displayed in a tl:EditComponent with the tl:GenericDeleteCommandHandler in both edit and view mode. When deleting, one always switches to Edit mode to request the lock for the object to be deleted. If you delete already in edit mode, the component is in view mode afterwards - this is not pretty, because the user could have wanted to edit several objects in a row.
