#25322
Form field for mandatory DateTime attribute incorrectly marked as changed
I declared a DateTime attribute as a required field and then added a corresponding field to the business object form.
Problem
When you enter a value in the field, it is still marked as “cannot be empty.” I was still able to save the value, however. Nevertheless, the field continued to be displayed as “cannot be empty.” This prevented me from leaving the view because the Check-Changed dialog blocked it. There are no options to “Apply” or “Discard” the changes, so the only option is “Cancel.” After logging out and logging back in, the field was immediately marked as “cannot be empty” again when the screen was displayed, and it was then no longer possible to exit the screen.
Workaround
Do not mark DateTime attributes as “required.”
