As long as a configurable threshold value is not exceeded, individual options are displayed in the column filter for selection. If the threshold value is set very high, a scroll bar may appear, with the lower section containing the buttons to apply the filter remaining fixed. However, if the individual values are so long that they wrap to the next line, the scaling does not work properly. The buttons are then no longer accessible via the normal method (behavior observed in TRECA; also occurs in the TL7 demo; see attached screenshot).
By using the Tab key, you can cycle through all the options until you reach the buttons. Since the threshold value is set very high in TRECA, this is not a practical solution.
The issue may be related to the introduction of sorting at the top of the filter dialog.
Test
By default, the offset is 20, beyond which the filter dialog no longer offers the individual values as options.
To test this, simply generate sample data with, for example, 15 children, enter long “texts” as values in the “string” column, and then open the filter dialog to check whether the behavior described above has been resolved.
