The selection role is missing in contact and is only defined in projectdemo.
The navigation role is not used at all in contact / is not assigned.

The navigation role should be automatically assigned to all elements for which you have the selection role. The navigation role is inherited by the parent elements of the structure. The selection role is assigned to all elements for which you have a business role. This means that these rules can only be meaningfully formulated if you know the business roles. And these are defined at the solution level.

Now, at least, everything is consolidated in a single configuration, and parts of it are no longer defined in Contact.
