Chrome browser: User logout after closing the browser window
If the browser window is closed instead of an explicit logout, the session time-out is normally reduced to a few seconds, so that the user is automatically logged out afterwards. This is indicated in the log by the messages: "Potential window close, scheduling subsession disposal." "Disposing subsession after window close." acknowledged. All active locks of the user are released again.
This does not seem to work in the Chrome browser currently. Closing the window is not recognized and the session and all existing locks of the user remain active for the duration of the regular session time-out.
Test
In all possible browsers (especially FF, Edge, Chrome) the following test:
- Login to the application
- Copy URL
- Open new tab
- Close tab with the application (**no** logout)
- wait at least 15s (max. 30 min)
- Open the copied URL in the new tab
- Expectation: The login screen of the application appears and you are not logged in directly.
