Even though the passwords have already been stored in encrypted form in the configuration using the annotation encrypted="true," the Service Editor, for example, displays the passwords in plain text.

Code Migration

The SMTP and IMAP passwords must be encrypted in the configuration.
If they have already been stored in encrypted form (with `encrypted="true"`), this annotation must be removed; otherwise, the system would attempt to decrypt them twice.
